In terms of the Dirty line at LUSH, I have been anxious for it to come to America since early April. I have yet to try the products out, but I am certain that I'm going to love it! Uluru is another story as I can't remember whether or not I used the bath bomb in the past. The scent does sound amazing and many of my old friends have had an Australian craze for the last few years, so I will wait and see how it all goes down on Saturday.
Another LUSH item I have been in love with since I purchased it is the amazing Joy of Jelly! I could only afford the small size last Friday, but I am glad I got the pot of it that I did. On the bottom, is the most amazing flower design, which I know I got totally by accident and was so delightful to discover the first time I plopped it out of its jar. I will say I like that the jasmine scent is more subtle than say....Flying Fox, because I have been a bit overwhelmed by the amount of jasmine scents I had in my bathroom last weekend. Its scent is more soapy and fresh which I like, yet I think next time I buy a Shower Jelly I will be buying a large size of Sweetie Pie rather than Joy of Jelly (Whoosh is a little too intense for me).
Allow me to elaborate on the jasmine overload of last weekend. On Friday when I was buying some new shampoo bars (to try to break out of my usual Karma Komba routine) I picked up Seanik and Godiva. I also got samples of Jasmine and Henna Fluff Eaze and H'Suan Wen Hua because my hair was still suffering greatly from the torture I inflicted on it when I thought I had lice (turns out I didn't). That night while I took a bubble bath I decided I'd try the Jasmine and Henna treatment first and then shampoo with Godiva after so I smelled lovely and sweet for going to see Pirates of the Caribbean. Now, I will say that I have always been a bit skeptical about the scent of Jasmine and Henna Fluff Ease. To me it has always smelled a but like...well...pee. And I always hid that opinion because I heard so many employees raving about the scent before and thought that maybe it would be different when applied. Well, I was right. It was different. But holy crap! The jasmine was so intense, it almost killed me. But I waited patiently for the 20 minutes it instructed me to and followed desperately with Godiva which I had used once before thinking the sweetness of that smell would balance it out. Little did I know that the Jasmine and Henna scent was so vigilant! It wouldn't leave my hair at all. Godiva's sweetness also turned sort of putrid on my head.
So what's my problem? Is my scalp just rebellious of jasmine? The next morning in the futile attempt to further rid the scent from my hair I used Seanik (the scent of which I truly love) to no avail. H'Suan Wen Hua did help though. And the Jasmine and Henna surely made my hair softer, but I guess it's just not for me. My friend on the other hand LOVED it, so it's just me.
Anyhoo, overall I have been very happy with Seanik and Joy of Jelly. I also bought Sunnyside and Love Lettuce and love them both. Godiva may have to go back though. She's lovely, but just doesn't love me enough. I knew I wouldn't be able to detach myself from Karma Komba for long. :)
